AWARD OBJECTIVES

In 2016 the Awards included the Gulf Islands and Vancouver Island. Due to the tremendous response of the first event, the 2018 Awards have been expanded to include the whole of British Columbia.

The 2018 juried Exhibition and Awards are meant to encourage artistic and technical excellence in the ceramic practice of ceramic artists/potters living and working in the Province of British Columbia.  The intent is also to strengthen the Salt Spring Potters Guild by raising its profile in the ceramic community and with the general public.

The range of ceramic work eligible for consideration is broad, including sculptural and functional ceramics; any creative work consisting mostly of fired clay.

The Exhibition and Awards will be conferred every two years.
