Salt Spring Arts Council promotes educational opportunities for all ages with Workshops on the Rock. We offer ‘In House’ Workshops, and we promote ‘At Large’ Workshops that take place in artist studios throughout the Island.
The goal of Workshops on the Rock is to promote and create educational opportunities in the community. Each Spring, we publish and distribute a brochure with an exciting array of arts-based ‘At Large‘ workshops facilitated by artists and instructors in studios throughout Salt Spring Island. The brochure is distributed widely throughout the region.
We also offer ‘In House‘ workshops that take place in historic Mahon Hall in the heart of Ganges. Workshops vary from one-time to 4 or 6 week sessions. Many of these workshops are geared to children and youth, and others are provide professional development for artists.
